The Role
No safety background required. This role is for someone organized and sharp who wants to learn how a motor carrier stays compliant — on real files, alongside an experienced safety team.
You start with the fundamentals: driver qualification files, license and medical card renewals, drug test scheduling and log reviews. The regulations take time to learn; the attention to detail has to be there from day one.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain driver qualification files
- Track expiring CDLs, medical cards and annual MVRs, and follow up before anything lapses
- Book pre-employment drug screens near each applicant’s home and track the results
- Help run Clearinghouse queries and keep the records that go with them
- Review driver logs and flag issues for follow-up
- File inspection reports, accident reports and other safety documents
- Answer driver questions and route them to the right person
- Pull documents quickly and accurately for audits and file reviews
What You Bring
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Comfortable with computers, spreadsheets and data entry
- Clear communication by phone and email
- Willing to learn DOT and FMCSA regulations
- Reliable and on time — renewals and deadlines do not wait
A Plus, Not Required
- Office or administrative experience
- Any trucking, logistics or dispatch experience
