MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST
Keep the fleet road-ready — inspecting and prepping trucks for drivers, tracking compliance deadlines, and moving equipment to repairs and dealers across Illinois. CDL required.

The Role
This is not a desk job. Part of it is keeping the fleet’s paperwork current — registrations, inspections, permits and deadlines. The rest is hands-on: inspecting trucks, prepping them for incoming drivers and moving them to repairs and dealers around Illinois.
Our tractors are late-model automatics — Freightliner, Kenworth, Peterbilt, Volvo and International — and when a truck needs to be recovered, maintenance handles that too.
What You’ll Do
- Track registrations, inspections, permits and compliance deadlines
- Inspect trucks and prepare them for incoming drivers
- Make sure all equipment is DOT compliant
- Move trucks around Illinois for repairs and dealer visits
- Handle truck recoveries
- Communicate with drivers about maintenance issues and repair schedules
- Coordinate repairs with our shop and follow them through to completion
- Keep maintenance records and handle fleet administration
What You Bring
- Valid CDL required
- Trucking, fleet maintenance or transportation experience preferred, but not a must
- Strong organization and multitasking
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
A Plus, Not Required
- Mechanical knowledge of tractors and trailers
- Familiarity with DOT annual inspection requirements
